In the case of stitching wounds, shaving the feathers from in and around the area to be treated accelerates the drying of the wound.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApply Abilar® VET ointment directly to the wound or to a dressing you are applying to the wound.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf necessary, dress the wound every 1-3 days. The wound should then be cleaned and dried, Abilar® VET ointment applied and, if necessary, a new dry dressing applied.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCare should be taken to prevent the animal from licking the wound as this will slow down the saliva and may even prevent the wound from healing. If necessary, use an Elizabethan collar.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAbilar VET ointment should be continued until the skin lesion or wound has healed.
