Fit-aroma MONGE VETSOLUTION CANINE DIABETIC contains fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum). Trigonelline, the main alkaloid component in fenugreek, has hypoglycemic effects by influencing ß cell regeneration, insulin secretion, and the activity of enzymes related to glucose metabolism. The amino acid 4-hydroxyisoleucine, found only in fenugreek seeds, has anti-diabetic properties, stimulating insulin secretion during hyperglycemic conditions and enhancing insulin sensitivity.

Fenugreek seeds contain 45.4% dietary fiber (32.1% insoluble and 13.3% soluble). The resin, composed of galactose and mannose, contributes to glycemic control. Fenugreek extract has demonstrated anti-diabetic and neuroprotective effects, potentially linked to reduced hyperglycemia and oxidative stress, thus aiding in the management of diabetes complications. Experimental studies have shown that fenugreek effectively counteracts changes caused by diabetes.

Besides blood glucose control, fenugreek also exhibits antioxidant properties, protecting organs like the liver and pancreas from oxidative damage caused by diabetes. It promotes antioxidant activity and significantly reduces the levels of TBARS, markers of oxidative stress.

Contraindications: Growth, pregnancy, lactation, cachexia, weight loss.

PROTEINS: Optimal protein levels (protein/kcal ratio of 90) combined with carnitine help promote body fat loss while preserving muscle mass.
ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS: The fat content is controlled to ensure essential fatty acids' proper intake, maintaining an Ω6/Ω3 ratio of no more than 3.
CARBOHYDRATES: Although tapioca has a high glycemic index, its effects on glycemia are managed through the hypoglycemic action of the fit-aroma. Extended intake of tapioca does not lead to diabetes or pancreatitis in laboratory diabetic animal models. The fit-aroma effect is supported by an increased fiber content, which helps manage excessive food intake and subsequent weight gain.
