COMPOSITION CHARACTERISTICS AND RATIONALE
The low fat and high fiber content helps ensure a low energy value.
Therefore, even during the period of weight reduction and (or) maintenance, the animal can receive a large amount of food in terms of volume, which provides the dog with a feeling of satiety without causing weight gain.
L-carnitine participates in the transport of fatty acids to the mitochondria and promotes fat oxidation and preservation of muscle mass.
Omega-3 fatty acids help overweight dogs maintain normal joint mobility. Omega-3 fatty acids also have a beneficial effect on the skin and coat.
The moderately increased protein content contributes to the preservation of muscle mass.
Slow carbohydrates and high fiber content contribute to the gradual release of glucose, so the food is well suited for patients with diabetes.

- SPECIFIC™ CRD-2 Weight Control is well suited for dogs after successful weight loss, as well as inactive and/or spayed/neutered dogs.
- Dogs often become obese because their owners like to "spoil" them with food. For dogs with a tendency to be overweight, we recommend SPECIFIC™ CRW-1 Weight Reduction as it reduces the risk of obesity.
- SPECIFIC™ CT-H(M) Healthy Treats (Mini) are recommended for pampering dogs with weight loss or diabetes. In order to avoid excess weight, during this period it is recommended to reduce the daily dose of food in proportion to the number of treats fed to the dog (with low fat and high fiber content).
- Most diabetes treatment regimens recommend dividing the daily dose of food into two meals. Feeding time usually depends on the individual patient's insulin activity.
- SPECIFIC™ CRD-2 Weight Reduction feed has an increased content of soluble and insoluble fiber, which improves motility of the digestive tract and the health of the gastrointestinal tract.
- Thanks to its low fat content, SPECIFIC™ CRD-2 Weight Reduction feed is well suited for hyperlipidemia and biliary obstruction.
- Since SPECIFIC™ CRD-2 Weight Reduction feed is usually given to the animal in a limited amount, the feed has a slightly increased content of minerals and fat-soluble vitamins.
