Vet Expert Urinary Wet Food for Dog, 400 g

Complete and balanced dietary food for adult dogs, the administration of which is recommended to dissolve and prevent the re-formation of struvite stones. The dietary food has urine-acidifying properties (addition of DL-methionine, moderate level of animal protein), favouring the formation of struvite-unsaturated urine or urine metastable in relation to struvite.

Dietetic indications

Dissolving struvite stones. Reduction of struvite stone recurrence.

MONOPROTEIN CHICKEN: Carefully selected, single source of high-quality animal protein lowers the risk of intolerance to ingredients and nutrients.

CRANBERRY: Reduces the adherence of microorganisms to the epithelium of the urinary tract, lowering the risk of secondary bacterial infections.

DL-METHIONINE: Causes urine acidification, giving it the properties of struvite-unsaturated or metastable urine in relation to struvite.

Instruction for proper use

The diet fulfils the daily nutritional requirements of an adult dog. Daily doses, presented in the table, depend on the current body weight, health status and body condition of the animal as well as its physical activity. Depending on these, the recommended doses may change. The daily dose should be divided into 2–4 meals and given at regular intervals. For the prevention of struvite urolithiasis, it is recommended to introduce smaller but more frequently served portions of food, which alters urine pH. All changes related to diet administration (diet selection, dosage, frequency of meals) should always be consulted with a veterinarian.

The initial recommended length of diet administration for the prevention of struvite urolithiasis should not exceed 6 months.
