They are indispensable in dogs and cats’ diet, generally many diets are underprovided with these components.

Skin diseases are very common in dogs and cats and manifest as dermatitis, pruritus, erythema, desquamation, alopecia, seborrhea and hyperkeratosis. WeDerm® is a complementary food for dogs and cats containing a complex of essential fatty acids (EFAs), vitamins and minerals to support skin functions in cases of dermatosis, alopecia, itching or any allergic dermatological manifestations:
-
Linoleic acid (LA), an omega-6 fatty acid, is required for the formation and maintenance of the intercellular ceramide lipid layer of the epidermis.
-
Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA): an omega-6 fatty acid that helps strengthen skin integrity.
-
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid or cervonic acid (DHA) - omega-3 fatty acids with anti-inflammatory activity
-
Zinc, biotin, vitamin B complex: zinc is an indispensable trace element for the proper formation of collagen fibers, but together with B vitamins, it reduces alopecia and itching.
-
Vitamins E and C - important antioxidants, protect epidermal cells from oxidative damage.
-
Vitamin A - essential for the replacement of skin cells and the activation of epidermal cell keratinization.
- Vitamin D3 is necessary for maintaining the balance of the skin and coat, especially for older people.
