COMPOSITION CHARACTERISTICS AND RATIONALE
- The feed has a reduced magnesium and phosphorus content (components of struvites) to dissolve struvites in the bladder and prevent their re-formation.
- A urine pH below 6.4 dissolves struvite crystals and prevents them from forming again.
- High-quality and easily assimilable components ensure maximum use of nutrients while reducing the amount of feces.
- EPA and DHA are omega-3 fatty acids that have a beneficial effect on the condition of the joints, skin and hair.

- The increased sodium content encourages the dog to drink more. It reduces the concentration of minerals in the urine and more frequent urination
- SPECIFIC™ CCD Struvite Management daily dose is recommended to be divided into 3-4 meals, as a result of which the postprandial (after food) increase in urine pH will be reduced.
- Struvite urolithiasis is most often associated with urinary tract infections. For such infections, SPECIFIC™ CCD Struvite Management will only be effective if the infection itself is treated at the same time.
- Struvite urolithiasis is only one of the different types of urolithiasis that occurs in dogs. It is extremely important to determine the type of stones in the bladder, as each type may require a different feeding strategy (see the urolithiasis control schedule in the SPECIFIC™ feed technical information section).

NOT RECOMMENDED
- In urolithiasis caused by calcium oxalate deposition, ammonium or cysteine losses.
- If urine acidifying agents are used at the same time.
- In metabolic acidosis.
- In dogs with hyperlipidemia or pancreatitis.
- For puppies and pregnant or nursing mothers.

THE COMPOSITION
Corn starch, wheat, corn protein, animal fat, eggs, minerals, fish meal, cellulose powder, hydrolyzed pork protein, vitamins and trace elements, methionine, psyllium, sunflower oil.
Antioxidants: EU approved additives - BHA, BHT, propyl gallate. Does not contain artificial colors, flavorings and flavor enhancers.
