With its beef flavour, palatable to most dogs, it can be given with or without food.
As it is an oral treatment, FRONTPRO® works from the inside. The active ingredient is afoxalaner which kills fleas and ticks by hyperexcitation which results in death of these parasites.

What is FRONTPRO®?
FRONTPRO® is an easy to give chewable tablet that provides flea and tick protection for dogs. FRONTPRO® kills fleas for five weeks and kills ticks for one month. For optimal control of flea and tick infestations, the product should be given at monthly intervals throughout the flea and/or tick season, based on local risk and the dog's lifestyle. For example dogs who visit areas where wildlife can roam generally need more regular protection than those who don’t.
How to give FRONTPRO®?
Remove one FRONTPRO® chewable tablet from the blister and gently offer it to your dog in the palm of your open hand. If the dog does not accept the tablet directly, it may be given with food. Make sure your dog has eaten the whole tablet. Wash hands after handling the product.
How does FRONTPRO® work?
Afoxolaner (the active ingredient of FRONTPRO® chewable tablets) kills fleas and ticks rapidly by targeting the central nervous system of the flea and/or tick causing hyperexcitation, which results in death of these parasites. Afoxolaner kills adult fleas within 8 hours, before they can lay eggs which helps prevent household infestations.
I’m currently using FRONTLINE PLUS®, when can I start using FRONTPRO®?
The minimum treatment interval for FRONTLINE PLUS® is 4 weeks. Please remember it’s always best to treat the pet according to their lifestyle. If you decide to use FRONTPRO® after FRONTLINE PLUS®, you should wait the minimum treatment interval before using FRONTPRO® as your dog is already protected against fleas and ticks. If you have any questions on your pet’s health, we recommend you speak to your vet or trained pet store staff who are best placed to advise you.
Who is FRONTPRO® suitable for?
FRONTPRO® chewable tablets are suitable for dogs aged 8 weeks and over and weighing at least 2 kg. For dogs weighing over 50 kg, use an appropriate combination of chewable tablets of different/same strengths. The tablets should not be divided. For example, treating a dog weighing 55 kg would need a combination of 1 tablet for 25-50 kg dogs and 1 tablet for 4-10 kg dogs.
How long does FRONTPRO® protect my dog from fleas and ticks?
One treatment with FRONTPRO® chewable tablets provides persistent flea killing activity for 5 weeks and persistent tick killing activity for one month.
