STOMAFERIN
Specialized oral care solution for adult dogs and cats.

Ingredients:

Water, glycerin, lactoferrin, chlorhexidine gluconate, xanthan gum, potassium sorbate.

Usage:

Apply directly to the oral mucosa of adult dogs and cats prone to plaque and tartar buildup. Thanks to its specially formulated active ingredient complex, Stomaferin:

• Protects against bacterial adhesion to teeth, preventing bacterial growth and colonization.
• Reduces bad breath.
• Helps maintain a healthy oral microbiota.
• Minimizes tartar formation after mechanical cleaning.
• Supports and promotes oral mucosal regeneration, especially after dental treatment.

IMPORTANT: Not recommended for use on oral mucosal wounds or injuries in animals sensitive to chlorhexidine.

Key Properties:

• Lactoferrin is a multifunctional protein found in the milk of many mammals (especially colostrum – the first milk), internal organs, and mucous membranes. It plays a crucial physiological role in supporting the immune system's response to harmful microorganisms (Berlutti et al., 2011). Due to the inclusion of lactoferrin, Stomaferin stimulates the local immune response in the mouth.
• Chlorhexidine is widely used in dentistry. Its ability to adhere to the oral mucosa is essential, as it helps prevent plaque formation by inhibiting bacterial growth and colonization on enamel surfaces. Studies show it can reduce plaque by 50-60% and lower bacterial presence by up to 95% (Eden, 2008). Additionally, chlorhexidine has a well-established safety profile (Lachenmeier, 2017).

Directions for Use:

• Apply the solution to the oral mucosa at the angle of the lower jaw (for cats) or on its inner or outer surfaceabout 1-2 cm from the mucosa.
• Shake well before use.
• Do not apply to wounds or injured mucosa.
• One pump press dispenses 0.2 ml of solution.
• Use 2-4 times daily. Do not apply more than one pump per location.

Storage:

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Store in a dry place at temperatures up to 25°C.
• Do not freeze.
