Directions:
Dogs:
Prevention and treatment of infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides felis).
The fleas present on the dog are killed in the day following the treatment. A single treatment prevents re-infestations by fleas for 4 weeks. The drug can be integrated into a therapeutic program for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (DAPP).
The product has acaricidal efficacy against infestations by ticks persisting for 4 weeks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus) and for three weeks (Dermacentor reticulatus).
Ticks already present on the dog at the time of treatment may not be killed for two days following treatment administration and may remain attached and visible. Also it is recommended to remove the ticks present during the application of the treatment, in order to avoid their attachment and the taking of blood meal.
Usage tips :
Take a pipette out of the package. Hold the pipette applicator in a vertical position. Push down on the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that all the contents are in the main body of the pipette, twist and detach the cap. Place the cap, upside down, on the pipette. Press and twist the cap to puncture the pipette, then remove the cap from the pipette.
For dogs 4 kg body weight or less:
With the dog in a standing position, part the hair between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the end of the pipette on the skin and squeeze firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.
To ensure correct dosage, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible.
To reduce re-infestation by emergence of new fleas, it is recommended to treat all dogs in the household. Other pets living in the same household should also be treated with an appropriate product.
In order to reduce the parasitic pressure in the environment, it is recommended to use in addition an appropriate treatment of the environment against adult fleas and their stages of development.
Depending on the ectoparasitic pressure, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment. The interval between 2 treatments must be 4 weeks. However, with intense and/or prolonged exposure to water, the duration of effectiveness may be reduced. In this case, a minimum interval of one week must be respected between two applications.
Transient cosmetic changes may be observed at the application sites (ie desquamation of the skin, white deposits and stuck hairs).
