Ataxxa 2000 mg / 400 mg skin application is a new product from the Krka pharmaceutical company for treating and preventing flea infestation (Ctenocephalides felis).

The skin application is primarily intended for the removal of fleas that are expected to die after a single application within a 24-hour interval after application. A single application prevents further flea infestation for four weeks.

Ataxxa is thus considered to be an excellent prevention of various skin dermatitis, which can be the result of the action of fleas or allergies to them and their secretions.

Ataxxa has an acaricidal effect and actively affects the very existence of ticks. How long the skin application will work also depends on the tick type and durability. In the case of ticks of the species Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus, the skin application of Ataxxa has been active for four weeks. In the case of ticks of the species Dermacentor reticulatus, it has been active for three weeks.

In case the ticks are already present and sucked
If the ticks are already sucked on the dog's skin, they will not necessarily die within 24 hours or later after applying Ataxx. In this case, removing the ticks on the dog when applying the medicine to prevent them from attaching and sucking blood makes sense.

The product is only suitable for use on dogs, not use on cats.

Dosage and use of Ataxxa

The product is only suitable for application to the dog's skin, which is not damaged.

The recommended amounts of the medicine are:
10 mg/kg body weight of imidacloprid and 50 mg/kg of permethrin.

Accurately measure your dog's body weight to make the dose as appropriate as possible.

How do you apply Ataxxa skin application?

Remove the product packaging and remove the skin cap by grasping the cap and tube and rotating them in opposite directions.

Apply the skin application to the skin between the areas of the shoulder blades where the dog cannot reach. Place the tip of the tube on the skin's surface and squeeze the product's contents directly onto the surface of the dog's skin. Such application applies to more miniature puppies. If the dog is more extensive and weighs more than 10 kilograms, apply the skin evenly in four places along the dog's spine.
