COMPOSITION CHARACTERISTICS AND RATIONALE
The composition of the feed contains few different distinct components; the base consists of eggs and rice. Both of these components have low allergenicity, so they are ideal for making hypoallergenic food.
Thanks to high-quality and easily assimilable components, the feed is particularly well suited for patients with inflammation of the small intestine.
Psyllium (big plantain husks) – These are soluble fibers that also have gelling properties that absorb many times their weight in liquid. Psyllium is known for its positive effect on the regulation of the digestive tract.
Purine is a precursor of urate crystals. Due to its microscopic purine content, reduced protein content and induced urine pH, CDD feed is an excellent choice for the prevention of urate crystal formation.

SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management is a balanced hypoallergenic complete feed containing few different components (mainly rice and hydrolyzed salmon proteins). The food meets the body needs of puppies and adult dogs suffering from food allergies.

To prevent food allergy symptoms, it is very important that the dog eats nothing but hypoallergenic food. SPECIFIC™ CT-HY Hypoallergenic Treats are recommended for pampering a dog with a food allergy. These treats do not contain ingredients other than those found in SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management, so they are well suited for dogs with food allergies.
To diagnose the causes of food allergy, the "gold standard" method is the product exclusion method, when the animal eats home food, and then the potentially provoking product is given. When home feeding is not possible, such a test can be performed with SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management feed.

SPECIFIC™ СDD-HY Food Allergy Management feed is characterized by good quality, easily assimilable components and increased electrolyte content. Therefore, the feed will be especially suitable for patients with gastrointestinal problems associated with acute intestinal disorders, maldigestion and/or pancreatic exocrine insufficiency.
For dogs with gastrointestinal tract problems, SPECIFIC™ СDD-HY Food Allergy food is recommended to be divided into 3-5 servings per day.
Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is characterized by a significant decrease in the level of pancreatic digestive enzymes. SPECIFIC™ СDD-HY Food Allergy Management is easily absorbed by the body and is therefore an ideal choice for patients suffering from exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. However, therapy with pancreatic enzyme preparations is also recommended.
