COMPOSITION CHARACTERISTICS AND RATIONALE

• Hydrolyzed salmon proteins, with a molecular weight <10,000 daltons, are easily absorbed and have low allergenicity.
• Rice has a low allergenicity and is easily used by the body, so it is ideal for the composition of hypoallergenic food. Rice does not contain gluten, so the food is well suited for dogs with gluten allergy or celiac disease.
• Thanks to high-quality and easily assimilable components, the feed is particularly well suited for patients with inflammation of the small intestine.
• Psyllium (big plantain husks) – These are soluble fibers that also have gelling properties that absorb many times their weight in liquid. Psyllium is known for its positive effect on the regulation of the digestive tract.
• Balanced complete food that contains nutrients in the amount that meets the needs of the body of growing and adult dogs. Therefore, the food is also suitable for puppies.

SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management is a balanced complete feed containing relatively small amounts of different components (mainly rice and hydrolyzed salmon proteins). The food meets the body needs of puppies and adult dogs suffering from food allergies.
To prevent food allergy symptoms, it is very important that the dog eats nothing but hypoallergenic food. SPECIFIC™ CT-HY Hypoallergenic Treats are recommended for pampering a dog with a food allergy. These treats do not contain ingredients other than those in SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management, so they are well suited for dogs with food allergies.
To diagnose the causes of food allergy, the "gold standard" method is the product exclusion method, when the animal eats home food, and then the potentially provoking product is given. When home feeding is not possible, such a test can be performed with SPECIFIC™ CDD-HY Food Allergy Management feed.
SPECIFIC™ СDD-HY Food Allergy Management is characterized by good quality, easily assimilable components and increased electrolyte content. Therefore, the feed will be especially suitable for patients with gastrointestinal problems associated with acute intestinal disorders, maldigestion and/or pancreatic exocrine insufficiency.
For dogs with gastrointestinal problems, SPECIFIC™ СDD-HY Food Allergy is recommended to be divided into 3-5 servings per day.
Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is characterized by a significant decrease in the level of pancreatic digestive enzymes. SPECIFIC™ СDD-HY Food Allergy Management feed is easily absorbed by the body and is therefore an ideal choice for patients suffering from exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. However, therapy with pancreatic enzyme preparations is also recommended.
