COMPOSITION CHARACTERISTICS AND RATIONALE
Hydrolyzed salmon proteins, with a molecular weight <10,000 daltons, are easily absorbed and have reduced allergenicity.
Uniquely high content of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA from fish oil and GLA from cucumber mint. These fatty acids influence the development of the immune response by modifying the production of eicosanoids and promote skin and coat health in dogs with atopy.
Intensive metabolism takes place in the skin, which justifies the high need for special nutrients. The high content of vitamins A, E and B group, zinc and selenium improves the health of the skin and coat.
Thanks to high-quality and easily assimilable components, the feed is particularly well suited for patients with inflammation of the small intestine.

Balanced complete food containing nutrients that provide growing and adult dogs with everything they need to maintain health. Therefore, the food is also suitable for puppies.

SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus is a balanced complete hypoallergenic feed (based on rice and hydrolyzed salmon). The food has a uniquely high content of fatty acids (EPA, DHA and GLA), which contributes to the maintenance of health in dogs suffering from both food allergy and atopy.

To prevent food allergy symptoms, it is extremely important that the dog eats nothing but hypoallergenic food. SPECIFIC™ CT-HY Hypoallergenic Treats are recommended for pampering a dog with a food allergy. These treats do not contain other components than those in SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus, so they are well suited for dogs with food allergies.

In addition to the beneficial effect on allergic dermatoses, the uniquely high content of omega-3 fatty acids also has a beneficial effect on other disorders related to the immune system. Food allergy can also be responsible for their occurrence (inflammatory bowel disease, colitis, arthritis): the hypoallergenic SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus feed with a uniquely high fatty acid content provides optimal help in the fight against them.

SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus feed is characterized by high quality, easily assimilable components and high electrolyte content. Therefore, the feed will be especially valuable for patients with gastrointestinal problems associated with acute intestinal disorders, maldigestion and/or pancreatic exocrine insufficiency.

For dogs with gastrointestinal problems, it is recommended to divide the daily amount of food SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus into 3-5 meals.

Psyllium (big plantain husks) – These are soluble fibers that also have gelling properties that absorb many times their weight in liquid. Psyllium is known for its positive effect on the regulation of the digestive tract.
Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is characterized by a significant decrease in the level of pancreatic digestive enzymes. SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus is easily absorbed, making it an excellent choice for patients suffering from exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. However, therapy with pancreatin enzyme preparations is also recommended.

It takes time to replace the fatty acids in the body's cell membranes with the EPA, DHA and GLA fatty acids that animals get from SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus feed. Therefore, it may take up to 12 weeks to get the full effect from this feed. Usually, the improvement of the patient's condition is visible after 6-8 weeks.
SPECIFIC™ CΩD Allergy Management Plus is specially packaged in a nitrogen environment, so the feed maintains a uniquely high content of EPA, DHA and GLA.
