COMPOSITION CHARACTERISTICS AND RATIONALE

• The feed contains yeast ß-1,3/1,6-glucans, which have the ability to bind to white blood cell receptors, thereby stimulating the immune system and improving the formation of an immune responses
• DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that contributes to the development of the brain and visual organs.
• Balanced content of proteins, vitamins and minerals and the energy value of the feed, which meets the needs of large breed puppies during the growing period. The EPA and DHA content together with moderate energy value and moderate calcium content ensure healthy joint development and prevent potential skeletal problems due to rapid growth.

• SPECIFIC™ CPD-XL Puppy Large & Giant Breed is perfect for large breed puppies at weaning (5-6 weeks of life) until the puppy has reached 80% of its adult weight. Later, the puppy should be gradually introduced to SPECIFIC™ CXD-XL Adult Large & Giant Breed/CXW Adult All Breeds food.
• The large size of the pellets is suitable for large breed dogs to promote chewing, prolong the time of food intake and reduce the possibility of rapid swallowing.
• It is important to carefully monitor the growth of puppies to avoid overfeeding.

SPECIFIC™ CPD-XL Puppy Large & Giant Breed feed is probably not suitable for pregnant and lactating mothers, as its energy value and calcium content are lower than SPECIFIC™ CPD-S Puppy Small Breed and SPECIFIC™ CPD-M Puppy Medium Breed feeds. Therefore, it is recommended to feed large breed bitches with SPECIFIC™ CPD-M Puppy Medium Breed food during pregnancy and lactation.
SPECIFIC™ CPD-M Puppy Medium Breed food is recommended for puppies with low energy needs.
