This professional dermocosmetic shampoo is designed for dogs and cats with skin prone to bacterial and fungal infections. It may be used as an adjunctive product in the management and prevention of dermatological conditions caused by bacteria, yeasts, and dermatophytes. The formula contains carefully selected active substances that cleanse the skin and coat, support the restoration of normal microbial balance, and help maintain proper skin pH.

Mild foaming agents ensure effective yet gentle cleansing while improving coat quality and supporting its regeneration.

Chlorhexidine

Chlorhexidine is a highly effective antiseptic with proven activity against the majority of bacterial and yeast pathogens found in canine and feline skin. It binds to negatively charged bacterial cell membranes, disrupting their integrity, which leads to increased permeability and ultimately to bacterial cell death. Chlorhexidine is not absorbed systemically and remains on the skin surface, providing a prolonged antimicrobial effect.

Ketoconazole

Ketoconazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent active against dermatophytes, yeasts, and polymorphic fungi. It reduces pruritus and the severity of lesions associated with inflammatory skin conditions. Its mechanism involves altering the permeability and structure of the fungal cell membrane, impairing its protective functions and resulting in fungal growth inhibition and death.

Indications

Usage:
Wet the coat with warm water, apply an appropriate amount of shampoo (approximately 2 ml for small short-haired dogs, 30 ml for large long-haired dogs; 1 tablespoon contains 10 ml). Lather and gently massage for about 5 minutes. Avoid contact with eyes and ears. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.
